At this year's Independent Hotels Show, which took place in Munich for the first time, we presented innovative luggage storage solutions for hotels. In addition to our Smart Luggage Locker, a state-of-the-art locker system developed specifically for the needs of the hotel industry, we also presented the new lock from Smalox. This combines state-of-the-art locking technology with our customised software and cloud solution and met with great interest. The opportunity to test our systems directly on site convinced many hoteliers of the benefits of our solutions. Thanks to its intuitive operation and seamless integration into existing hotel structures, our product offers real added value in everyday hotel life. In an industry where security and efficiency are particularly important, our technology sets new standards in luggage storage.
Free cloakroom with the new MobileLine: a look into the future
A particular highlight was our new MobileLine, a mobile locker system that was available in the foyer of the trade fair as a free cloakroom solution for visitors. This innovative solution was very well received and showed how flexible and efficient modern luggage storage can be for hotels. With the MobileLine, we enable secure and uncomplicated luggage storage without the need for additional space. Control via smartphone app makes it particularly convenient for trade fair visitors to use. The solution is not only suitable for hotels, but also for venues and events - wherever short-term and flexible storage solutions are required. The positive response to the MobileLine shows how important digital and user-friendly solutions are in today's world.
Location partner model: making luggage storage profitable
Another focus of our trade fair appearance was the presentation of our location partner model, which was specially developed for the flexible use of our locker systems. This model offers hotels the opportunity to utilise modern luggage storage technology for hotel operations without high initial investments. Instead, the model is based on a revenue share: Variocube provides the locker solution, while the revenue from usage is shared between the operator and Variocube. This concept offers a win-win situation: the hotel operator benefits from a modern solution that increases both guest comfort and operational efficiency without having to bear the full financial risk. The ability to cover running costs such as electricity and hosting via a fixed basic fee makes this model particularly attractive for hotels that want to be able to adapt flexibly to the needs of their guests. Especially in the area of luggage storage, this model offers a simple and profitable way to implement digital innovations.

The Independent Hotels Show was not only a stage for presenting our products, but also a platform for dialogue with industry experts. The trend towards digitalisation and the increasing demand for sustainable solutions were clearly noticeable. In particular, luggage storage for hotels was at the centre of many discussions, as it is a key aspect of guest service. Our discussions with international hoteliers confirmed that solutions such as our Smart Luggage Locker or the MobileLine precisely meet the needs of the industry. The ability to utilise space and resources efficiently without compromising guest comfort was seen as a major advantage.
